I was able to do this secondment at the beginning of the project, a time when many ideas are still taking shape and there is still space to bring diverse perspectives to the table to better shape the work ahead. I had the opportunity to witness firsthand the excellent work being done at Pneuma Healthcare and discuss how it relates to CRYSTAL. We focused discussion on the development of conversational systems that support the training of novice psychologists.
During this secondment, we also met with other project partners from the University of the Basque Country (María Inés) and Ulster University (Edel, Maurice, Mike, Paddy, Raymond, and the team), which allowed us to broaden the discussion within the larger group and gather richer insights, both technical and psychological.
On a personal note, it is always a pleasure to visit Northern Ireland and reconnect with our dear colleagues, explore Belfast with its beautiful botanical gardens and majestic city hall, and enjoy a walk along the Lagan River to the shipyard where the Titanic was built. I also appreciated the opportunity to work in Coleraine, take the scenic train ride, an experience the facilities where Pneuma Healthcare carries its impactful work.
My heartfelt thanks to Colin, Leona, James, and all the PH staff for their warm welcome and the fruitful exchanges.
