Mid-term evaluation in Brussels
Professor M. Inés Torres was invited to give a lecture at the Knowledge Economy Congress in Singapore. The lecture addressed human-centered human-machine interaction as an important target domain for research and innovation. In this context, she presented the CRYSTAL project as a novel framework for the development of AI-based technologies that preserve the ethics and privacy of conversational systems. Helping people and addressing the challenges that businesses face are the main goals of CRYSTAL, by focusing on emotional support for people and technical customer assistance in the industry.
